چکیده

With the growing numbers of status update websites and related wrappers, initiatives modelling sensor data in RDF, as well as the dynamic nature of many Linked Data exporters, there is a need for protocols enabling real-time notification and broadcasting of RDF data updates. In this paper we present a flexible approach that provides such notifications to be delivered in real-time to any RSS or Atom reader. Our framework enables the active delivery of SPARQL query results through the PubSubHubbub (PuSH) protocol upon the arrival of new information in RDF stores. Our open source implementation can be plugged on any SPARQL endpoint and can directly reuse PuSH hubs that are already deployed in scalable clouds (e.g. Google’s).

Towards Linked Data Update Notifications Reviewing and Generalizing the SparqlPuSH Approach

Linked Data resources change over time in terms of both content and relationships among them. Resources in a dataset might be frequently inserted, deleted, updated, and linked to other resources. Datasets are consumed in a lot of useful applications that would benefit from real-time notifications when data changes in RDF data stores. sparqlPuSH describes a notification service for updates in RD...

Updating RDFS ABoxes and TBoxes in SPARQL

Updates in RDF stores have recently been standardised in the SPARQL 1.1 Update specification. However, computing answers entailed by ontologies in triple stores is usually treated orthogonal to updates. Even the W3C’s recent SPARQL 1.1 Update language and SPARQL 1.1 Entailment Regimes specifications explicitly exclude a standard behaviour how SPARQL endpoints should treat entailment regimes oth...

Operational Semantics for SPARQL Update

Concurrent fine grained updates are essential for using RDF stores in dynamic modern Web applications, where users increasingly contribute content as often as they read content. SPARQL Update is a language proposed by the W3C for fine grained updates for RDF stores. In this work we propose an operational semantics for an update language for RDF, which models core features of SPARQL Update. Firs...

SPARQL Update for Materialized Triple Stores under DL-Lite_RDFS Entailment

Updates in RDF stores have recently been standardised in the SPARQL 1.1 Update specification. Even W3C’s SPARQL 1.1 Update language and SPARQL 1.1 Entailment Regimes specifications explicitly exclude a standard behaviour for entailment regimes other than simple entailment in the contex...
